ANZAC Day Dawn Service - Thu 25 Apr

posted 19 Apr 2013, 14:10 by Andrew Yeaman   [ updated 20 Aug 2013, 23:33 ]

Firstly, there is no Scouts on Thursday evening the 25th of April as it is Anzac Day. We are however organising a trip to the Shrine for the Dawn Service. We will be meeting outside St. Johns Primary School on Whitehorse Rd at 4:20am and catching a free bus service to the Shrine. I have caught this bus myself a few years ago and found it very easy and convenient as you are dropped off and collected from the Shrine. Instead of staying in town for the Gunfire Breakfast, we thought we might go to Nunawading McDonalds and be collected from there at 8:30am. If you don't want to have breakfast, the bus will return at 7:30am to Mitcham. This activity is open to parents and siblings of Scouts as well. As Cookie needs to book the bus she needs to know numbers before Monday 22 April. Scouts will need to be in full uniform and have a Health Form. Money for breakfast also required. Hope you can make the early start. The service at the Shrine is an amazing experience and is highly recommended.

When: 4:20am
Where: St Johns Primary School, Whitehorse Road, Mitcham
Wear: Full uniform
Cost: $0 for the bus and $x for breakfast at McDonalds
