Hall Hire

Hall facilities include: kitchen, toilets, large hall with open fireplace and ducted heating. The hall can fit about 100 people and has a connected kitchen.  The approx. hall size 16.5m x 7.9m.  The hall is full of Scouting memorabilia and this does restrict our ability to hire out.  We do not hire our hall for teenage birthday parties (13-20) due to past damage.

Hall Hire Charges




Monday – Friday

9am – 5pm

$30 per hour, minimum 2 hrs, $250 bond required

Friday – Sunday

5pm Friday – Sunday night

$40 per hour, minimum 4 hrs, $300 bond required

Tables & Chairs are available for use when you hire our hall.  However as our tables can be used for group activities if tables and chairs are essential to your event we would recommend that you arrange your own.

Public Liability Insurance
1st Heatherdale Scout Group does not hold Public Liability Insurance that will cover non-scouting event.  Therefore it is the responsibility of the users of the hall to obtain their own public liability insurance.  A copy of your certificate of insurance must be presented along with the completed hall hirer agreement form which will be required before use of the hall.

Our hall does not have a Liquor Licence. Should the hirer be selling alcohol on the hall’s premises a copy of their current liquor licence would also need to be provided.  The hirer is also responsible for the removal of any rubbish generated by the use of the hall.
